Find out what their marketing tactics are – if their marketing tactic is the toss it into the MLS – you might want to continue looking.
What price should I offer my house for sale for? You need to take a long hard look at the comparables in your area. Don’t just go with the Realtor that gives you the highest price quote for your house. We can all tell you that your home is worth 2 million dollars (because that’s what you want to hear), but you need to be educated on what the market really looks like. Ask for comps, it paints a very exact picture of where you should price your home.
Any improvements needed? When living in our homes we tend to learn to look the other way about improvements that our home needs – the stain on the carpet, the scuffed up walls…. A prospective buyer has several homes they are most likely looking at when they look at your home. They will be comparing your home to the several other homes they have just looked at.
