There is excitement in the air!  All around me there is more traffic through town, everyone seems busy and there are boats of all sizes heading towards the lake.

Memorial Day weekend is the official start of lake season here in Pottsboro!  Lots of fun in the sun, building sand castles on the sand and three glorious days off!

A few things to keep in mind while boating on Lake Texoma:  Please, please pick up your trash!  Don’t bring glass to the lake, use plastic or cans.  Keep an eye out for swimmers and other boaters.  If you’re drinking, find a designated driver – there are lots of coast guard, game wardens and state troopers out this weekend– just because you’re on water does not mean you can’t get in trouble!  Most of all – have fun, be safe!
